About Colleen

Minnesota native, Colleen Lopez, has been a recognizable television personality for over 25 years. She started in television in the Twin Cities working as a reporter and a talk show host – As the “Bargain Hunter” on KSTP’s “Good Company” show and as the host of “The Mall Of America Show”, Colleen became a popular and well known local personality. These experiences allowed Colleen to develop her talent for becoming a world-class shopper and expert TV host.

In the early 90’s Colleen was contacted by the Home Shopping Network to join their team in Tampa, Florida. She moved to Tampa/St. Petersburg with her family in 1994 and has been taking America shopping on HSN for more than 17 years!

Colleen’s personal style of hosting has garnered the attention of popular media including features on Extra and Entertainment Tonight, as well as appearances on Access Hollywood, Bravo, E! Entertainment, Dateline NBC, and CNN. In the year 2000 in Las Vegas, Colleen was awarded by the ERA (Electronic Retail Association) the prestigious “Best Television Presenter” award and still holds the title to this day.

Lopez has hosted shows with many of HSN’s most high-profile guests over the years including Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Queen Latifah, and Tony Bennett.

Throughout her tenure at HSN, Lopez has been recognized as one of the most versatile and successful hosts in the business. Along with being a fashion and beauty expert, Colleen’s greatest passion is jewelry and she has earned her AJP, Accredited Jewelry Professional certificate, from the GIA.

In 2004, Colleen launched her collections of jewelry and apparel for HSN under her own Colleen Lopez Brand. An avid traveler, Colleen collaborates with designers and manufacturers from around the world to bring her beloved viewers beautiful, quality products.

Colleen believes in giving back and donates her time to many charitable causes. She’s hosted telethons for Goodwill/Easter Seals, and MC’d events raising money for the American Cancer Society. Colleen supports many children’s charities including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Jewelers for Children.

Colleen works and resides in the Tampa Bay area where she is continually inspired by the beauty that surrounds her. She has been married to her husband, Carlos, for over 30 years, and has two grown sons and two precious grandchildren.
